All lighters have a 3-month warranty after purchase.
However, even though crucial parts may have been serviced/replaced, an older lighter may still leak gas over time, or miss a spark. These lighters have aged over decades, resulting in some internal wear that may have accumulated and will affect their performance, and there is nothing to be done about it. Just know that you are buying a vintage product, and it can happen that they may not perform as expected of a new lighter.

A small Ligne 1 from the 1980s in silver plating, cut with a fine diamond guilloche that covers the body in tight, repeating facets. It is a busier pattern than the plain barley or line finishes usually seen on this model, and the effect changes constantly as the lighter turns, each facet catching light independently rather than sweeping across a single engine-turned surface.
The Ligne 1 is the lighter S.T. Dupont was built on, and the small size puts the whole mechanism into a case that sits easily in the palm or a shirt pocket. The strike and the flame are controlled from the same compact body, and the appeal of the model has always been how much engineering sits inside such a small footprint. Here that body is dressed in a pattern distinctive enough that it stands apart from the Ligne 1s most collectors have handled.
This example comes with its original box, and the pattern itself is one we rarely see on this model, which makes it worth a closer look even against other Ligne 1s. It also carries a second serial number alongside the usual marking, a detail you can see for yourself on the lighter rather than something we can explain further. Condition is graded great, meaning only the light wear you would expect of a lighter of this age that has been carefully kept rather than heavily used. It has been fully serviced in our workshop and is ready to fill, so it can go straight to work for whoever takes it home.
