6. Product Information
We strive to display our products accurately. However, we do not guarantee that product descriptions, images, or other content are error-free, complete, or current. If a product offered by The Lighterhouse is not as described, your sole remedy is to return it in unused condition.
7. Pricing and Payment
Pricing: All prices listed on The Lighterhouse include VAT (BW 6:193g). VAT will not be displayed at checkout since we make use of the margin scheme in The Netherlands.
Payment: We accept various payment methods. By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorized to use the payment method and authorize us to charge the full amount.
8. Right of Withdrawal (BW 6:230o and EU Directive 2011/83/EU)
If you are an EU-based consumer, you have the legal right to cancel your purchase within 14 days after receiving the item(s), without giving any reason.
You must notify us via email at contact@thelighterhouse.com before the withdrawal period expires.
You must return the item(s) in their original condition within 14 days of notifying us.
Refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned item(s).
You are responsible for return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
Certain products, such as personalized items or used consumables, are exempt from this right.
9. Shipping and Delivery
Shipping times and costs vary based on location and shipping method. Delivery dates are estimates and not guaranteed. The Lighterhouse is not liable for delays beyond our control.

11. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including text, graphics, logos, images, software, advertisements, and social media posts, is the property of The Lighterhouse or its content suppliers and is protected by Dutch and EU intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any content—including but not limited to website materials, social media posts, promotional campaigns, and digital advertisements—is strictly prohibited without prior written consent from The Lighterhouse.
Our social media accounts and all marketing materials published on platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and any other online advertising channels are subject to these intellectual property protections. Any unauthorized reproduction, alteration, or misrepresentation of our content is prohibited and may result in legal action.
12. Limitation of Liability (BW 6:74 and EU Directive 2011/83/EU)
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Lighterhouse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, resulting from:
(a) your use or inability to use the Services;
(b) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein.
13. Dispute Resolution and EU Online Dispute Resolution Platform (EU Regulation 524/2013)
If you have a complaint, we encourage you to contact us directly. If we cannot resolve your complaint, you have the right to use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. This platform facilitates dispute resolution for online purchases within the EU.
14. Fair Commercial Practices (BW 6:193a and EU Directive 2005/29/EC)
The Lighterhouse follows fair commercial practices under Dutch and EU consumer protection laws. We do not engage in misleading, aggressive, or unfair sales tactics. We expect all users to act in good faith when making purchases, inquiries, or engaging in transactions.
