All lighters have a 3-month warranty after purchase.
However, even though crucial parts may have been serviced/replaced, an older lighter may still leak gas over time, or miss a spark. These lighters have aged over decades, resulting in some internal wear that may have accumulated and will affect their performance, and there is nothing to be done about it. Just know that you are buying a vintage product, and it can happen that they may not perform as expected of a new lighter.

A Ligne 1 in the larger Regular size, from the 1960s, finished in rose gold plating with a fine engine-turned pattern covering the body. The warmth of rose gold sits a shade softer than the yellow gold more often seen on these, and the close diagonal lines catch differently depending on how the lighter is turned, giving the surface a quiet shimmer rather than a hard shine.
This is the BS version of the Ligne 1, built during the years when Dupont standardised its gas refills and added a shutoff lever directly onto the latch mechanism, a practical fix that made the lighter safer to carry with the reservoir sealed. Lighting it is a two-stage action: a roller strikes the flint while the separate gas lever controls the flow, a sequence that feels deliberate in the hand rather than automatic, and part of why the Ligne 1 is still the lighter collectors point to as the one that started the company’s reputation. The Regular size sits larger in the hand than the Petit, with the kind of heft that makes its presence known in a jacket pocket.
Condition is excellent, meaning this one presents close to how it left the shop six decades ago, with only the faintest signs that it has ever been used. The original box is included alongside it. It has been fully serviced in our workshop, so it is ready to be filled and carried rather than simply admired on a shelf.
