Editions that only featured pens — such as the 1995 Les Éléments series — are not included. While many of the editions listed here were accompanied by matching pens, cigar accessories, or desk items (such as clocks or key holders), this guide focuses solely on the lighters released as part of each limited edition.

The Statue of Liberty was offered by France to the United States in 1886 as a gift to celebrate the friendship between the two countries. The statue was created by the French sculptor Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi, with Alexandre Gustave Eiffel designing its metallic structure. The French team finished their work in July 1884. After dismantling, it was sent to New York in 350 separate parts. The Statue of Liberty was inaugurated on 28 October 1886 in front of thousands of spectators. It became a national American monument on 15 October 1924.

Although initially created as an embodiment of international friendship, she gradually became known as the universal symbol of liberty and freedom.

S.T. Dupont has drawn its inspiration from this historical monument to create a unique collection, renewing the bonds of friendship between the Americans and people of France.

The influence of the Bauhaus on the applied arts, from architecture to design, via advertising, is universal. The Bauhaus, began as a German art school created in 1919 by the famous architect Walter Gropius. Bauhaus’s ambition was to make beauty and functionality available to everybody, within the technical constraints of industrial mass production.

Drawing on this inspiration, and, more particularly, its impact on architecture, S.T. Dupont has created a unique collection of lighters made of real Chinese lacquer in black or black and red, set with bands of sparkling platinum.
