Vintage Factory Solid Silver Cartier Les Must Lighter Cabochon in Box 1970s

A Cartier Les Must from the 1970s in sterling silver, the body finished in a fine engine-turned pattern that catches the light in tight, even rows wherever the lighter turns. Set into the case is a sapphire cabochon, a small domed stone that sits proud of the silver and gives the piece its point of colour against an otherwise entirely monochrome object. It is a compact, pocketable shape, oval in plan, with nothing about it that announces itself from a distance.

The striking wheel sits under a hinged hood rather than out in the open, so the mechanism stays hidden until you need it and the case keeps its clean, unbroken line the rest of the time.
