International Vintage Lighter Convention in Amsterdam
On the 20th of June 2026, Amsterdam will host the very first edition of the Spark International Vintage Lighter Convention — a brand-new event built on the legacy of the long-running Düsseldorf Lighter Convention. For years, collectors have gathered in Germany to share their passion for rare and historic lighters, and now Spark is bringing this experience to the Netherlands for the very first time.
What Is the Spark Lighter Convention?
The SPARK International Lighter Convention is designed to bring together enthusiasts and collectors from across Europe and beyond. Expect to see everything from early enamel strikers and unusual mechanical innovations to luxury pieces and precious metals, the rarest lighters in the world come together. The event offers a welcoming, informal setting where you can meet fellow collectors, exchange knowledge, and perhaps add a rare piece to your collection.
When and Where
The Spark Vintage Lighter Convention will take place in Amsterdam on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 from 09:00 until roughly 15:00. The event will be hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam – NDSM Wharf, a modern waterfront hotel located just north of the city centre.
Amsterdam was chosen for its central position within Europe, making it easily accessible for collectors travelling from England, France, Belgium, and Germany, as well as further abroad. The venue is conveniently reached by car and lies approximately forty minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, offering straightforward international connections.
The convention space has been reserved for both June 19th and June 20th, allowing visitors who arrive early to meet and connect ahead of the main event.

Are you a collector or dealer interested in exhibiting your lighters at the Spark Vintage Lighter Convention? For the inaugural edition in Amsterdam, approximately 20 tables will be available for vendors and collectors wishing to showcase their pieces.
As this is the first Spark convention, table availability will be limited and reservations are expected to fill quickly. The Spark Vintage Lighter Convention will be hosted at the DoubleTree by Hilton Amsterdam – NDSM Wharf, a modern waterfront hotel located just north of the city centre.
The venue is easily accessible by car and conveniently located for visitors travelling from across Europe. Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is approximately a forty minute journey away, offering excellent international connections for collectors arriving from abroad.
The hotel is situated at the NDSM Wharf, a creative waterfront district in Amsterdam North. From here, a free ferry provides a short and direct connection across the river to Amsterdam Central Station, making it quick and easy to reach the historic city centre.
