Description
Ronson first manufactured the Ronson Penciliter in 1934, and later re-designed and continued it in 1948 in both the USA and England. The Penciliters manufactured after 1948 are called “Rounded Top” since the first generation had a more square lighter on top. The lighter pictured here is engined turned and chromium plated.
It was the first combination of a one-motion wick lighter and a super-fine mechanical pencil. The removable pencil unit contains an eraser and a compartment for spare leads. The Penciliter was a bestseller in England and the U.S. It was advertised as a convenient gift for every smoker.
