An original RK Premier Imperator petrol lighter. Made in Austria. Has stamped on the bottom ‘Pat. ang. ges. gesch.’, Meaning ‘Patent angemeldet gesetzlich geschützt’ (patent pending registered design). The lighter was probably produced around the beginning of the 1910s since the patent was still pending. RK Premier was probably a advertising, although this remains unknown today. Opens with the push of a button, and automatically lights. Closing tensions the spring and puts the flame out. Very similar to Thorens or HW lighters.
