Description

An Original Imperator petrol lighter. Most likely made in Germany. Has stamped on the bottom ‘Patent ang. D.R.G.M.’. D.R.G.M. standing for Deutsches Reichs-Gebrauchsmuster, indication the lighter was produced between 1891 and 1945. The Semi-automatic mechanism of the lighter was quite advanced for its time. Opens with the push of a button, and automatically lights. Closing tensions the spring and puts the flame out.
