“IMCO®, the World’s Supreme Lighter since 1918!”

The IMCO Triplex was first introduced in 1937. This lighter featured a sliding windshield, and would spring open with a push of a button to replace the flint. Reliable and very well made, these lighters will probably outlive you. The fuel tank can be withdrawn from the lighter after being ignited, so it’s easier to light a (tobacco) pipe or to use as a candle.

This IMCO features the appropriate dutch text “Steekt uw licht op bij donker”, which directly translates to “lights your light by dark”. It was made for a timber trader in the Netherlands, Donker Zaandijk, founded in 1854 and still operates to this day. Extremely rare, and in exceptional condition for its age.
