The iconic Dunhill name has a reputation for quality, well-made cigarette lighters and other smoking implements. The company’s origin can be traced to Alfred Dunhill opening his first tobacco shop in London in 1907. Over time, Dunhill was responsible for some of the finest petrol and butane lighters in the world. Even to this day, the iconic name carries its legacy.

The Dunhill Bijou was the first lighter launched by the brand featuring the iconic curved “Dunhill arm”. The Dunhill Bijou is a shorter version of the Dunhill Unique. They were manufactured from 1928 onwards. Several finishes included chromium, silver and gold plating, enamelled, and so forth. They were produced in Switzerland.

The underside shows the U.S patent number (1022140), the Canadian patent number (306029) and the English patent (143752). This lighter has Reg. no. 73741.
